the movie is based on a graphic novel which was based on the actual historical event. It wasnt supposed to be historically accurate anyways, the graphic novel was created to be a graphic novel, not a documentary, so yes, they flipped things around a bit to fit their purpose.

this was not a comic (duh) and its not at all historically accurate. its called Hollywood children. most of the general public don’t want to go to the movies and watch a “accurate documentry film” that dose not sell tickets and make box office. they spiced up history to make it sell better ^_^. just enjoy the dam movie! if your wanting the real facts on this movi History channel and National Geo. made like 3 specials on it after the movie came out.
